The Oppo F19 Pro+ smartphone was launched on March 8, 2021. The phone has a 6.40-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels, a pixel density resolution of 408 inches (ppi), and an aspect ratio of 20: 9. The Oppo F19 Pro + is powered by an eight-core MediaTek Dimension 800U processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The Oppo F19 Pro + runs Android 11 and is powered by a 4310 mAh battery. Oppo F19 Pro + owner supports fast charging.

In 2021 we will see an increase in 5G smartphones in India. Although the technology is expected to advance commercially by the end of 2022. OEMs use this to prepare consumers for the future by adding 5G capabilities to their devices. . Oppo is one of the players who introduced the latest series of 5G armored smartphones known as Oppo F19 Pro series.

Oppo F19 Pro and Oppo F19 Pro + support 5G, which is their selling point. The company has gone the extra mile to reaffirm this by printing “5G” on the rear camera module. Also read: Oppo A54 with optimized night charging launched: price, specification

If we talk about other specifications, it has a 48 megapixel quad rear camera, which we already saw in its predecessor, the Oppo F17 Pro, but it adds a macro sensor to the new phone. The F19 Pro + 5G also features a sleek design and a 6.4-inch screen. Also Read – 5 Cheapest 5G Smartphones Currently Available in India: Xiaomi Mi 10i, Moto G 5G, Realme X7, Oppo F19 Pro +

The Oppo F19 Pro + 5G works with a MediaTek 5G Dimeinity 800U SoC. It is available in Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G and Realme X7. The only 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model in the smartphone is priced at Rs. 25,990. So how does the Oppo F19 Pro + 5G work in real life? We found out in our review.

Grade A+ Design

The hole-punch display on the Oppo F19 Pro + 5G is small and only interrupts the viewing experience, which is great. Turn on the phone and you can see the upper left rectangular rear camera setup housed in a rectangular camera module. The camera module is embedded behind a single piece of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protective layer and the whole design looks neat. The Corning Gorilla Glass coating ensures that the lens is not scratched.

You will get the volume control keys in the left corner and the power button (which can also be used to call the Google Assistant) is on the right edge. The buttons are efficiently positioned, well accessible, and provide good tactical feedback.

The design is one of the elements that impressed me the most. I received the Space Silver colour variant for review, it looks sleek and stylish. The smartphone receives what the company calls a silkscreen coating. Although the poly-carbonate is sporty, the phone seems premium for its price, which is great.

The curved sides give the phone a good grip and thanks to the matte finish it is not slippery. It does attract fingerprint smoke though, so getting a back cover to keep it clean is a good idea.

Despite the large 4,310 batteries, the phone is as light as 173 grams. Another positive is the slim and tall body, which makes it easy to hold the phone. The Oppo F19 Pro + has a 3.5mm headphone jack like its predecessor and shipments with headphones in the box are a rarity these days. It reproduces a USB Type-C charging port and is housed at the bottom end with bottom firing speakers.

FHD 120Hz Display

The Oppo F19 Pro + has a 6.4-inch FHD + punch-hole display, which I think is an easy size to use, whether you’re consuming YouTube videos or playing games. The smartphone rings fine bells and you can see the great angles it gives. Outdoors in bright light, I didn’t have to bother looking at the screen because it often offers rich colors and sharp contrast.

Note that while most mid-range smartphones have a standard 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate, the phone offers a 60Hz refresh rate. The high freshness rate display certainly supports animations. and the Realm Narciso 30 Pro offers its biggest competitor, the 120Hz Fresh Fresh Rate view.

The MediaTek 5G Dimension 800U chipset can easily handle most of your daily tasks. The phone does not hesitate in the basic functions of watching videos, transporting music, clicking photos, opening multiple tabs in Chrome, and switching between them.

When it comes to gaming, the phone doesn’t stumble upon basic games like Temple Run 2 and Candy Crush Saga. However, Call of Duty: Mobile and Asphalt 9: Graphics weren’t exactly a smooth experience, as there was a significant lag in playing heavy games and a drop in frame rate.

A high refresh rate screen will definitely make it easier, especially in games. I should mention that the phone heats up from the top within 15 minutes of graphics-intensive gaming, albeit not sadly hot.

The phone comes with a spectacular 3.0 fingerprint sensor and it performs brilliantly. The sensor is responsive and I was able to quickly unlock the device every time I use it.

The Oppo F19 Pro + 5G runs on Color OS 11.1, which is based on its latest version, Android 11. It is a pleasure to see that the phone comes with Android 11 instead of the old Android 10 operating system. Oppo ships with plenty of bloatware applications you don’t need to use. Some of these can be uninstalled thanks to Soup, O Relax, and many more.

Overall, I’ve found Oppo’s software to be a bit confusing, but the company has improved a bit on this front over time. It’s a pleasure to use some customization, like Flex Drop, which allows you to use multiple applications at once, as you can keep the applications open in a small floating window. Then I also have a one-touch app lock feature that I found easy and useful.

The Oppo F19 Pro + offers a wide range of customization and gestures. The air gesture is interesting and raises your hand to a distance of 20-40 cm to answer a call. I say interesting because I couldn’t find a case to use in real life. So, you answered a call using the air gesture, but in the end, you want to speak. An air tip is good for activating the speaker.

Smooth experience with a customizable home screen, the ability to hide app names from the home screen, and the ability to customize dark mode by choosing options like enhanced, medium, and soft.

Brilliant Camera of Oppo F19 Pro+

The Oppo F19 Pro + 5G has a 48-megapixel rectangular rear camera and, like its predecessor, the company has added a macro sensor to the new phone. In places where the rear camera has enough light, you can get impressive results. The photos look sharp and contain a wealth of information, expected from a Rs 26,000 phone.

Bright colors like red and pink don’t seem too saturated. Autofocus is faster and image playback is faster, so these are the points of the phone on the front as well. The camera layout is easy to use with basic options like Gentleman and Front portrait.

Even in low light conditions, especially with night mode, the camera can produce images almost instantly, something that most phones struggle with. Night mode does a good job of sharpening images and retaining details, which you will miss in normal mode. I must say that the colors seem a bit artificial, this is a problem that I have also encountered on Oppo phones in the past.

The problem with artificial colors is not limited to the rear camera and extends to the selfie. The photos I clicked on in bright light looked brighter than in real life, but the description was no problem. It seems that social networks are ready for those who like to edit their photos strictly before posting. I was happy with the portrait mode and it also does a good job of blurring the background.

In dark and bright places, without a flash, the selfie camera makes you a little brighter. Loses detail and looks a bit grainy around the edges of the photo.

Coming into the macro mode of the rear camera, I had to work hard to click good images due to the lack of autofocus. Honestly using a macro camera is a chore and I gave it up after many unsuccessful attempts. The extremely wide camera, again, does not focus automatically and the results I got were good.

Big Battery 5000mAh

The Oppo F19 Pro + 5G battery lasted a day and a half of moderate use and a day of heavy use. Honestly, this is a small hiccup that offers a battery capacity of 5,000 mAh or more in the price range of smartphones. The battery is a trade-off for a sleek, lightweight design for those who like it that way.

My daily use of OTT apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video included streaming video, listening to music, texting, playing games, and browsing websites and social media.

However, charging is incredibly fast. The phone charges from 20 to 80 percent in 25 minutes and 100 percent in 40 minutes, which is great. The phone supports 50W flash charging technology and this charger is built into the box.

Final Thought

The design, the processor, and the camera are just some of the strengths of the Oppo F19 Pro + 5G. Personally, I think the smartphone will have a hard time justifying the Rs 26,000 price tag. Rs. Priced at less than 19,999.
